Sculpture, Apex Building, Washington, DC
from Library of Congress

Sculpture by Michael Lantz showing “a muscular workman wrestling a wild horse.”

From LoC:

Constitution Avenue, N.W. in Washington, D.C. The triangular Apex Building was completed in 1938. As Secretary of the Treasury, Mellon constructed the $125 million building.

Images show exterior and interior views of the art deco Apex Building, the Federal Trade Commission headquarters in Washington, D.C . Details include the atrium, doorways, metal grille work and stairways. The images also include sculptures by Chaim Gross, Michael Lantz, Laurent, Concetta Scaravaglione, and Carl L. Schmitz.

I’ve been known to point out things about this sculpture other than its relevance to the building.
